Now that I have a working system, I'm less than keen on
blowing it all away (since I had to go the layered route
and its a 486 it took forever). To verify the install
as it was running, just after the RedHat 6.2 installer
told me it had formatted the partition, I dropped out to the
bash prompt and did a df, which showed the correct
partitioning.

Presumably this can be tested with both floppies by just
making sure the filesystem size looks sane when the installer
says it's done with the formatting.

I have another system that I can test this on perhaps this
weekend. It also shouldn't be that difficult to test on
something like alice-whacker.
