1. LPD

I had to create a /var/athena/daemon directory in order for LPD to work,
shouldn't that be done automatically?

More importantly, now that I figured that out, can you help me reconcile
the permissions? Somehow (printtool?) the /var/spool/lpd/lp tree is owned
by root, but daemon/daemon needs write access to the directory in order to
print (chmod -R 777 does the trick!). What's the "correct" way to set
this up? (suid tricks, add daemon to some group? manual chmod?)

2. xvidtune

doesn't remember the settings after a reboot, even when run as root :(

Thanks,
Ken
