I attempted to run an install over the weekend
on a system with a 4G hard drive. I ran the
installer and selected the option to partition the
hard drive manually and then run the install.
My initial attempt was one large partition ~4G and
a small swap partition.
The install ran, and when it completed it had
partitioned the system (fdisk saw all 4G) as I
had requested, but had only created a 1G filesystem
on that partition.
I'm not sure if the rewrite of the stock redhat
installer actually touched any of the partitioning and
mkfs calls, but the stock redhat installer did the right
thing when I attempted the install of just 6.2.
