Personally, I've never seen the problem on any system other than a
RedHat install. The error message in question comes from
net/sunrpc/clnt.c, around line 603. The function in question is
call_timeout(), which is supposed to handle an RPC timeout, but there
is no request slot taken.
I don't know enough of the sunrpc implementation to know when that
might happen, nor why.
