Greetings, one of your local friendly webmasters here...
It appears that once upon a time (a long time ago if you consider
1998 a long time ago), sepherke htmlized a bunch of the SIPB
docs that were available in dvi format. Many of these can be found
at www.mit.edu/sipb/docs.html
On that page are two linux related links. One is "getting started
with Linux on MITnet) which has a dvi link that is
/afs/sipb/project/doc/current/linux-net-install.dvi
I suspect that the problem is that the htmlized version is off of
a much older copy than what is currently there.
There is also an "Inessential Linux-athena" which has a dvi pointer
that is /afs/sipb/project/doc/current/iLinux.dvi I suspect again
that this may be somewhat outdated.
Perhaps the problem is that the people writing the documentation aren't
doing the run of the dvi to html conversion. The way to go is likely
to have links on the web pages to htmlized version of the document
that are in the same (or perhaps an "html" directory in the tree) directory
as the actual dvi documents. If someone wants to do a dvi to html
conversion of whatever documents are the current ones and give me a pointer,
I will gladly change the links.
