/srvd/usr/athena/etc/lpd doesn't seem to be happy. it starts
up and exists immediately (without error) without doing anything
useful. The manpage for /usr/sbin/lpd claims that I shouldn't have to
worry about lockfiles if I kill lpd and restart it, which
/usr/sbin/lpd follows... Am I forgetting something?
