Folks,
we're right on top of the July 1 due date for providing visible support of
Windows NT to the MIT Community. A big deliverable for this project is the set
of web pages that express our point of view. In one sense this sort of
project is
never done -- one can always fine tune a document, add some detail, etc.
But we're close enough that your feedback will make a real difference in
the outcome.
Can you take the time to look at the current pages starting at this url
http://web.mit.edu/is/help/winnt/
and send us your comments? I'm interested in any remarks you have, but
especially in things like important issues that are not discussed,
technical tips we'd like to make sure users hear, etc.
I will be away from July 4 to July 15. Send comments anyway and they will
be incorporated when I return. If there is something really important to
fix within that window, members of mailto:is-www have the right permissions to
edit the documents.
FYI, the files that make up this site at the moment include these:
- winNThome.html (linked to index.html in http://web/winnt/)
- training.html
- checklist.html
- ntprinting/printing.html
- issues.html
- resources.html
- software.html
- upgrading.html
- eudora.html
- kerberos.html
- mitnet.html (actually this is just a place-holder for a doc sbjones is
now writing)
- security.html
Thanks in advance for your time. Please try to give a reasonable look-see
in the next couple days if at all possible.
Rob
