The best cook book I have found is the Tassahara Cookbook writen by a zen monk
at the San Francisco Zen center about 15 years ago. It is written in a cool,
laid back style that makes you appreciate the wonder of flour and everything
else. It is very simple. It takes two pages to explain how to boil (This was
critical in my younger days). And it is goes on and on about vegetarian dishes.
It is very complete.
