Wow!!!!
>Last month, I attended a lecture given by Michio Kushi, a leader in
>macrobiotics. The diet is almost veggie (saying some fish is ok to
>eat)..... Kushi told us that he basically
>had scientists come up to him and say straight to his face, "We know
>your diet is the right one. We just cant come out to the public and
>say it yet because we need to gather more scientific research."
>
>Kushi apparently even treated the president of the Ritz Carlton hotel
>chain for cancer. The pres is starting to offer this year macrobiotic
>meals with each menu so you can basically get vegan meals (excluding
>the fish ones of course) if you ever need to stay at the Ritz Carlton!!
>
>What this means for those who dont follow a macrobiotic diet is that
>if you are making the effort to cut out animal products from your diet
>you are moving in the right direction as far as your health is concerned.
That is incredible news! Thanks so much for posting it! I'll tell Leor
about it -- I'm sure he'll get a kick out of that.
I''m flying into Boston tonight (Red Eye; will arrive Saturday morning, but
*won't* be staying at the Ritz!) and will probably try to go to a veggie
restaurant for lunch. Does anyone know if Buddah's Delight in Chinatown
is open for lunch on Saturdays? If not, any other new veggie places that
you can reccomend? Thanks!
Cheers,
queenie
