Hi, all. I thought you might be interested in this little tid bit of
insider info I picked.

Last month, I attended a lecture given by Michio Kushi, a leader in
macrobiotics. The diet is almost veggie (saying some fish is ok to
eat). It does avoid all other animal products as well as sugar, caffeine,
etc. Kushi had just come back from attending a scientific conference
on diet (I forget what it was called). At the conference were about
900 scientists from around the world. Kushi told us that he basically
had scientists come up to him and say straight to his face, "We know
your diet is the right one. We just cant come out to the public and
say it yet because we need to gather more scientific research."

Kushi apparently even treated the president of the Ritz Carlton hotel
chain for cancer. The pres is starting to offer this year macrobiotic
meals with each menu so you can basically get vegan meals (excluding
the fish ones of course) if you ever need to stay at the Ritz Carlton!!

What this means for those who dont follow a macrobiotic diet is that
if you are making the effort to cut out animal products from your diet
you are moving in the right direction as far as your health is concerned.

Stay strong and eat healthy,
Love
Wendy
