Hi!
An idea for something the group can do:
Put together baskets for people who have recently become vegetarian or are
thinking about it. It can include favorite recipes, restaurants,
substitution ideas, etc. from people already in Veg (maybe in the form of a
small booklet), maybe coupons to good veggie products, samples of snacks,
and a letter of encouragement?

This could help veg get more recognition and members as well as simply
connect with the community!

This would actually require some effort on the group's part, which is
typically good for groups:
-calling/writing to companies asking for coupons and samples
-collecting recipes, list of restaurants, ideas, etc. (simple web forms
would be good)
-compiling the above into a booklet
-putting together baskets
-writing a letter of encouragement

and, most of all, to make this work:
-keeping an eye out for people who are considering vegetarianism

Maybe a Vegan basket would be good too? That way more people that are
actually involved with veg could benefit...

I'm not quite sure where funding would come from. Maybe entirely donations?

Cheers,
Kelly ;)
