Since sometime in the last few days, I'm unable to telnet to Linux machines
running 9.4.8:
dit.mit.edu:~ athena% telnet astrophel
...trying Athena's default telnet options: "-axF"
Trying 18.152.2.9...
Connected to astrophel.MIT.EDU (18.152.2.9).
Escape character is '^]'.
Encryption could not be enabled.
Connection closed by foreign host.
ssh still works most of the time, but sometimes I see:
dit.mit.edu:~ athena% ssh astrophel
Connection to astrophel closed by remote host.
Connection to astrophel closed.
(a retry right after this worked).
