In the file lycus:/site/jtkohl/mwm-scrollbar-fuckup you will find a
window dump showing what happens when you start an xterm (R4) under mwm,
turn on its scrollbar with the menu, and continue typing.
Somebody is messing up here, and I suspect it's mwm. twm does the Right
Thing in this case.
As mwm is the default window manager for users, I consider this a
show-stopper bug.
Let me know when I can remove the window-dump file.
