Whoops, my bad. This is a known bug affecting some Suns, for which I
hadn't yet deployed the fix. I have put out the fix now, but the
machine will have to be recovered from single-user mode, which is kind
of a pain. The following should work:
Stop-A to get to the prom (since you can't do a clean halt)
boot -s (from the prom "ok" prompt)
sh /etc/init.d/afs start
cd /afs/dev.mit.edu/system/sun4x_58/srvd-9.1/bin/athena
cp attach /bin/athena/attach
reboot
