	Bill,

	This message is somewhat confusing; in general, Suns don't and
can't determine what to use for a booting console based on what's
plugged into their serial port.  Their behavior is generally to use a
keyboard and monitor *unless* they don't have a keyboard plugged in, in
which case they'll use a serial console.  

        Can you clarify the problem description and tell us more exactly
what was done to the machine?
