Fascinatingly, the keyboard-properties capplet's sliders do affect the
keyboard bell (but only the one you get from the "test" button there,
not the real one). However, most of the sliders (like volume, pitch,
etc.) actually change the duration of the beep, and in an
unpredictable way. Whee!
(And also, Launch Feedback is listed twince in Control Center, but I
think I mentioned that.)
