Our new 9.0 sunblade, formerly tess-turbo, and now portnoy, has been behaving
somewhat oddly in a few ways. Most notably:
a) It got _really_ slow earlier this evening, similar to what
one sees when, say, there is packet loss between a client workstation and
its afs server, but not enough for it to decide the afs server is down.
That's just random speculation, I haven't had a chance to track it down
more. Possibly related to cluster info skewage, but I don't think so.
b) The keyboard bell is way too loud, and xset does not affect
the volume. Not sure waht to do here.
