So now I'm logged in on No-Whammies under 8.4.4 with an "Ignore my
customizations" login. The console shows:
zwgc: error while opening /usr/athena/lib/zephyr/zwgc.desc for
reading: No such file or directory
zwgc fails to display incoming zephyrs in this state, without
notifying either the sender or the recipient (other than the console
message).
I also got:
xss disabling server builtin screensaver.
xss: you can re-enable it with "xset s on".
These seem harmless but noisy. 8)
Another problem (that happens to be one of my pet peeves) is backspace
inconsistency. Hitting "Backspace" or "Eelete" when typing a zephyr
under zwrite, or when editing a URL in Netscape, does not have the
desired effect of deleting the character to the left. CTRL-h does
work, but only if you know enough to use it.
Lastly, and cosmetically, xterms come up with the title
"xterm@SERVERHOST" when I think the hostname should be resolved there.
-B.
