Bill Cattey today noted that on Oxyacetylene, running "finger" (which
would be /usr/athena/bin/finger) with no arguments reported a login
for wdc which did not appear under "w" or under "finger @oxyacetylene"
(which would be /usr/bin/finger).
Unfortunately, while arranging to get remote access to the machine,
the machine was rebooted and the utmp files was wiped, so I couldn't
dump the utmp file to see what the turd looked like. But we do appear
to have a problem.
(I would like to move to a model where we run reactivate from a cron
job instead of from xlogin, and it runs "uptime" to check whether
anyone is logged in. Probably too late for that for 8.4, though.)
