Can't log in w customization on 8.3.7 SGI

When I try to log in on 'andrew' (8.3.7 Indy) with my
customizations, I get the following message, which doesn't stay on
the screen long enough for me to write down more than:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH: Undefined variable
I seem to remember that when Abby and I were testing out the SGI
O2 in 3-133 on Tuesday I couldn't log in there for the same
reason. But that machines probably wasn't running 8.3.7 so it
might not be release related after all.
