So, more information (from Dan):
* If you choose "abort" when this happens, log in as root, log
out, and login in again as danw, the problem doesn't happen.
This suggests that aborting logins may not be properly
calling al_acct_revert().
* The problem doesn't happen if you have a non-empty session
file. (That is, the contents of the session file before he
logged in was nothing.)
I couldn't find anything wrong in the code. Dan is going away for two
weeks, so hopefully someone else will be able to reproduce it.
