Using "xterm*foreground: green" works just fine under 8.1 if you run
"xterm" from the command line or from Dash (assuming you don't set a
different window name). What does seem to have changed is that the
"Unix shell" option in the tool menu runs winterm under 8.1 and xterm
under 8.0.
