All such meta-combinations fail, not just b. I couldn't get them to
work at all on joy (7.7A). Here's what I tried:
echo "*eightBitInput: true" | xrdb -merge
/srvd/../srvd.76/usr/athena/bin/xterm &
add outland
xkeycaps
And on maze (7.6) I couldn't get them to fail:
add outland
xkeycaps &
attach -m /srvd2 beta-dmusys
/srvd2/usr/athena/bin/xterm &
On both machines, I couldn't see any difference in xkeycaps. I tried
the "Restore Default Map" option, which had no effect.
