I was unable to log in using console mode on all the computers I tried
(approximately 6 7.4E Vax 3100's in the watchmaker area and a few 7.3
Vax 3100's.) -- when I pressed ^p, it gave me the standard non-X
"login:" screen, and about half the time, nothing I typed showed up,
and it would act as if I had held down the control key for everything
I pressed. (which I didn't.)
The other half the time, it would start to log me in but it would hang
on the motd, as soon as it got to "The following clusters will be shut
down... w20-575" (with no line feed after the w20-575.)
I couldn't consistently reproduce either error by itself.
