What's wrong:
1) I ran update_ws, then aborted to save some files. When I ran it
again, I got the message "empty text" before it printed the file names.
This comes from the kernel, and appears in my /usr/adm/messages.
This 7.1 kernel bug has been fixed in 7.2... it is a harmless message in
7.1 and won't appear with the 7.2 kernel.
2) /etc/rc.conf has a line:
MRUPDATE=false; export SMSUPDATE # SMS update daemon
Fixed in 7.2B
