Good Afternoon,

Information Systems has been getting several reports of significant 
problems with installing VirusScan Enterprise 7.0 on IBM Thinkpad T30s.  If 
you have a T30 and have not installed VirusScan Enterprise 7.0, please hold 
off on installing until we have a resolution.  If you have already tried to 
install VirusScan 7.0, please let us know if you have had success or run 
into problems by sending e-mail to virusscan-release@mit.edu.  In the 
meantime, please continue to use VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1 which is available 
from the Windows Archive page linked from the Software Download site.  You 
can find the link at the bottom of the Windows page.

We believe the problem is limited to IBM Thinkpad T30s that have the 
factory installed Windows XP operating system.  We are working with the 
vendors on a solution, if you would like to help with the solution and have 
a T30, please contact us at virusscan-release@mit.edu.
