========================================================
1. Options for providing authentication for system administrators and
operators through the Java GUI:
-Kerberize the application
-Run from IPM via X-windows SSH
We presently favor the X-windows option. It solves the issue of
secure login to the server, and the process can be automated. We'll
do it at MIT.
2. Big picture tasks:
- IBM: customize web server for client submission, query, queue
management; create the browser interface.
- Rocklyn: Make the X-windows thing happen
- Lynne: deal with flash forms
- Complete the accounting piece (who?)
- Prepare/deliver training to sysadmins and operators (who?)
- Finish Business Model (Cecilia w/Mary Ellen)
- Online instructions for desktop users (Mary Ellen)
3. Accounting requirements (brainstorm)
- User/customer authentication
- 24 hour update to SAP
- Customer selectable costo-object
- No cost break for multiple copies
- Make a rate table: field to include rate, "media" descriptor (does
this tell you if the job uses customer vs data center supplies?),"
ASOP flag
- Make rate table merge w/IPM accounting info.
- IPM accounting provides: file owner, # of printed pages, number of
copies, time of day, other?
ANYTHING ELSE??
4. We bid fond farewell with many thanks to Kip who has excused
himself from the team to serve on yet another team.
