Hi Diane,

Sorry for the sporadic problems with holes output. One cause for
confusion these days is the loading of hole paper when printing
via the mainframe vs InfoPrint Manager (IPM). Each system requires the
holes be laoded differently. This isn't an excuse but rather an
explanation of one potential source of the problem. We'll continue
to work with the ops staff to try to be more careful when loading
hole paper. Additionally, we've been trying to work with the
VM Team to see if we can change the way paper is loaded for use
via the mainframe - to be consistent with IPM.

The funding model for the mainframe was changed several years ago.
We haven't billed departments since the change (mainframe costs are
now funded by the IS bottomline). So, we no longer issue credits.

One advantage with IPM printing is our ability to retain a successfully
printed file. We currently hold onto previously printed files for
72 hours in case there's a need to reprint. This will eliminate the
need to rerun a job to reproduce the print file(s).

Thanks for reporting the problem, Diane. Also, thanks for your
patience and understanding.

-Dave
