4/13/2000
Attending Mike, MEB, Dave, Rocklyn

This was Mike's last meeting w/us. He's offered to be available by e-mail
if we have questions. (THANKS, Mike!) Meanwhile his parting thoughts:

1. We need better IPM documentation.
2. IPM with Kerberos will do what we need it to do. Alternatively provide a
certificate-based web interface for remote submission. In fact, start
w/certificates, then do the Kerberos part. Check this approach
w/Integration.
3. Teach BLT how to manage queues on IPM

3827 to 3160 MIGRATION
While it makes sense from many perspectives to go ahead w/this immediately,
there are objections from the VM Systems Group and Operations. Lynne
Durland has found instructions on the web and has offered to help with the
migration.

ETHERNET ADAPTER for 3160
This equipment has arrived and is in Dave's office. It's destination is the
3160 in E19. Need an ethernet drop in E19 first. Rocklyn took the task.

NEW TEAM MEMBER
Lynne Durland will replace Mike on the team. Mike also recommends getting
Camilla Fox (E40) in the loop, especially when it comes to the printers.
Looks like Camilla will be full-time after graduation.

COMMUNICATION
Dave feels we need to share/communicate what we're doing and where we're
going with others in W91 who will be involved once the new solution is in
place. He plans to make a joint presentation to VM-SST and ASST within the
next week or two.

OTHER INTERFACE ISSUES:
w/Athena Print Services via Moira. (Zacheis is the person to contact)
w/Credit Union tape
w/MITSIS, which is not on mit.edu. Now connects to VM via RSCS.

Please send corrections to printdel@mit.edu
