FACT: MIT has not joined the workers' rights consortium

FACT: MIT has not joined the fair labor association

FACT: MIT has no workplace code of conduct for all firms engaged in the
      production of MIT merchandise.

utr (united trauma relief) has written a proposal to the academic
council demanding that MIT take these actions.

if you would like to be take part in the effort to push this initiative through
by the end of this school year, please join the MIT Students Against Sweatshop
coalition. you can add yourself to the list mitsas by typing on athena:

blanche mitsas -a <username> or

sending an email to me at <sweiwang@mit.edu>

it's time to let MIT know that it has the responsibility to ensure
basic rights of workers.

peace.
