An MIT symposium on Exploring the Many Dimensions of Sustainable
Development brings together distinguished American and European scholars on
successive Wednesdays through May 1st. The sessions will address
sustainability problems related to to growth/economy, environment, and
employment, all of which are differentially affected by technological
innovation, globalization, and trade.
17 April: Technology/Growth and Employment: The Key Relationships

Keynoter: Tony Charles, Professor Emeritus and former Dean of School of
Social & International Studies, University of Sunderland (UK)
Respondent: Basil Whiting, Former Senior Program Officer for Employment
