It's not quite that simple with imbedded quel/sql. But it still is
possible to make the database name configurable.
The way we generally do things around here if we make a non-backwards
compatible change to a table is to give the new table another name and
keep the old table in the database when we create the new one. Then
if there is a problem, we just run the old server and use the old
table.
