Accomplishments in April
- Project launch - April 3, 2003
- Categorized "users" into groups based on needs

Searchers
- Checked with Net Ops. There is space in the machine room and there
should be no problem with an analog phone for software updates. Net
Ops will set it up.
- Reviewed existing "collections" to define what we are searching
- Began review of existing documentation for Verity product
- Listed business services that are in place with custom needs e.g. IAP
Goals for May
- Complete contract negotiations with Verity
- Complete contract negotiations with Google
- Schedule delivery of machine from Google
- Review data sets for existing search service
- Review rules for existing search service
- Begin to define data sets for new service
- Begin to define rules for new service
- Rough out strategy for imporved support/training of service
Next Community Milestone
- none scheduled
Issues
- until the contract with Google is executed, we cannot take delivery
or begin to test the Search Appliance
