Accomplishments past period:
-Responded to questions from RFP recipients
-Scheduled six vendor presentations
-Heard six vendor presentations/product or service demos
-Presented more questions to vendors based on their demos
Goals for the coming period:
-Follow up with additional questions for presenters
-Review proposals
-Analyze and compare vendor offerings
-Decide on best solution for LSA Summer Institute
-Analyze whether any of the products seen could be used as a possible
solution for Conference Services general operation
Next community milestone:
None
Issues:
Best solution for the LSA program may not be in line with a solution
for all Conference Services general business. This will have to be
thought out carefully.
Key learnings:
There appear to be v ery good tools to help automate the registration
process, though the products seem to have come to the market fairly
recently (late 1990's), they are quickly developing into systems that
are being used by large and reputable firms, and some have grown
despite the sliding economy of late.
Team dynamics:
Good
Additional comments:
None.
