Accomplishments past period:
- Presented findings to ITAG/Susan Minai-Azary.
- Finished "Draft" of Final Report.
- Met with Paul Hill and Bob Mahoney to recover from slight mistake
(more on this later).
Goals for the coming period:
- Have last two meetings and party.
- Finish Report with Paul Hill and Bob Mahoney's input added.
Issues:
- None.
Key learnings:
- I made an assumption that came back to bite me. I assumed that because
Paul Hill did not recommend going down a certain path, that when we did
go down this path I thought that he was not interested in the details.
Well, was I wrong! When he later found out that we decided to recommend
support for more than his recommended product(a SSH2 client in addition
to a Kerberos client), he was upset that we did not choose the one he
thought was best and that we had kept him out of the loop! I
thought-what do you mean? When I was talking to you about possible
solutions, you never mentioned to me that this was a concern of yours!
Well, too bad for me. Regardless of this fact, I should have informed
him of all the decisions while they occurred to make sure that he felt
included during the decision making process. Now we have to revisit the
SSH client issue one last time to put a stake through its heart.
Team dynamics:
- Great. I really like the team that I have. They have done an excellent
job.
