Project Name: E-Commerce Guidelines
Project Leader: Joanne Straggas

Accomplishments of the past period:
* Met with ASPCC for the third and final time. We will send them our
final report.
* Worked with members of the Audit Department to incorporate their
compliance plan into the guidelines.
* Made minor modifications to Registration form and Guidelines for
merchants based on the ASPCC discussion.
*Met with Peter Shulman, President of the UA, to talk about our
recommendations.
* Sent copies of our recommendations to Karen Hersey for review.
* Began drafting a plan to educate the community about the new guidelines.
Our plan consists of three types of education:
- initial announcements/conveyance of information
- presentations/discussions with key groups
- part of ongoing processes in CAO and ASA
Goals for next period: (Note: the team will not meet again until 7 February
due to my vacation so the next period is 4 weeks.)
* Finalize education plan.
* Begin putting final report together.
Issues:
During our discussion with ASPCC it became clear that there would be some
threshold of commercial activity below which it would not
be necessary to register for a merchant id and follow the recommended
guidelines. We need to clarify with the guidance of CAO just
what that threshold is.
