Accomplishments past period:
- Scheduled a second team meeting for January 22nd
- Finalized our technical and functional specifications
- Selected three test products for evaluation: IMP, Silky Mail, EMU Mail
- Began installation of test products
- Recruited Oliver Thomas to assist us with testing wireless web mail
access via PDAs and wireless telephones
Goals for the coming period:
- Complete installation of test web mail products (may continue into
next reporting period)
- Develop tester evaluation forms
- Begin to work with the Usability Team on their participation in our
testing
- Identify some students consultants from the Help Desk and Athena
Consulting to also participate in our testing
Issues:
- We don't have a firm sense yet on how long it will take to fully
install and configure our test web mail products. This effort is now
underway. Our goal is to have this complete by February 1st if at all
possible.
