Accomplishments Past Period:
- Report submitted and vendor recommendation accepted by MIT Libraries
Steering Committee.
- Officially announced vendor choice (Ex-Libris) to staff.
- Contacted both vendors with the final news.
- Held Town Meeting with staff to go over the final decision and to
solicit ideas regarding the upcoming migration/implementation phase.
Goals for the coming period:
- Produce "gap" list of missing or incomplete functionality to be
implemented by the vendor by the time the system goes live.
- Plan additional visits to local institutions (e.g. BC, Brandeis)
running Ex-Libris
software for staff to get a better view of an actual production site.
- Set schedule fo beginning contract negotiations.
