ACCOMPLISHMENTS PAST PERIOD:

- Met with Cattey, Stone and Comstock to explore potential infrastructure
impacts which would result from scanning all new paper theses when
submitted.

- Implemented two changes to the submission process which will help to
guard against potential problems in the areas of "holds" and the early
release of corporate-sponsored theses.

- Discussed with TLO personnel the issue of entering current "holds"
information into the database. Secured a promise to do so "ASAP".

- Made presentation on e-theses to group of about 35 MIT graduate school
administrators (rep from each department). Several expressed interest in
joining the project.

GOALS FOR THE COMING PERIOD:

- Continue to explore the implications of scanning newly submitted paper
theses to add to the digital collection.
