Hi Tom,
The set of Windows Server pages have been reviewed and updated. The
exceptions are the forms located here:
http://web.mit.edu/is/topics/windows/server/cr/ and
here: http://web.mit.edu/is/topics/windows/server/request_forms/cr/
Upon quick inspection, both sets of forms appear very similar. I
have feedback on them, but I'd like to know which set should be
reviewed. Please let me know and I'll have recommendations for you
early next week.
Otherwise, the list of pages reviewed and updated is as follows, with
questions embedded in the list (marked with an asterix). All files
can be found in the dontindex space,
https://web.mit.edu/is/dontindex/server/ .
General updates to all (or most) pages:
-Added last modified date, description/author/keyword meta tags to html head.
-Updated footer.
-Added left-column navigation back to the main Windows Server page on
all sub-pages.
-Spellchecked all pages.
I'll be leaving at 3 today, so if I don't hear back from you before
then, enjoy the long weekend and I'll look forward to hearing from
you once you've had time to take a look at the work that has been
done so far.
Kris

SERVER root
backup.html
*deciding_factors.html - there is a link on the page titled
"unsupported Windows operating system that links to a page of
supported operating systems. I assumed the link title should be
changed to "supported" so I did that but wanted to be sure to let you
know.
essential_tasks.html
general_recommendations.html
*group_policy_intro.html - the "tone" of some of the underlined text
could probably be softened a bit. If you would like me to take a
pass at doing this, I'd be happy to do so. The rest of the content
on the page is great, so the comments in question are quite a
contrast. I'm not sure this benefits users. You might want to
consider swapping underlines for italics, since underlined text is
typically used *only* in cases of linked text.
