SCCS, RCS, CVS: anyone have problems using these under AFS?

our developers use all three of these source code management systems
to keep themselves honest ... they have expressed doubts about the
compatability of these with AFS due to the different file protection
schemes.
their concerns seem to be legitimate; i'd like to know how others have
fared with these source code management systems under AFS.
