is there a "token meter" for X or OpenLook?

it occurs to us that our users want to know if/when their tokens are
going to expire ... rather than typing "tokens" it would be neat if
there were an application which showed on a dial or bar the planned
longevity and the ttl of the current token.
this is hardly an original idea; MIT did something similar for
kerberos tickets. has this been done for AFS tokens?
