The Model: TEK - 2 kit contains the tools necessary for the entry
technician to practice and perform surreptitious lock entry. The
kit contains three different sets of tools: A lock impressioning
tool, a lock picking and bypassing tool, and a lock servicing and
practicing tool (for picking and impressioning practice).
The lock impressioning tool set consists of an impressioning file,
a key blank holder and a small flashlight. The file is the most
critical component when impressioning a lock. The file included
in this kit is specially selected, it gives the best cut and leaves the
right finish. This enables the user to "get the marks." With this
file, impressioning aids are not needed. The key blank holder grips
the key securely so that it will not move during the bump and
bind. The flashlight is included for learning how to impression in
the dark.
The lock bypass and picking tool set contains picks for general
use. This includes pin tumbler, wafer disk and double-sided wafer
disk. The bypass tools are for use against warded padlocks.
Included also are various sizes of padlock shackle shims.
The lock servicing tools include a lock cylinder plug follower set,
lock cylinder/plug shim set and broken key extractors.
The practicing tool set includes a bench top vise and several
fixtures and jigs. These allow mounting a lock on a workbench to
practice picking or impressioning.
