Occasionally a user in olc complains about another user who is breaking the
rules of use. (Lengthy locking of workstations and using the printers for
multiple copies are among the more frequent examples.) Should you grab such
a question, do the following:
Sympathize with the user complaining
Point out that the behavior is against the rules of use, and say
that you will bring it to the attention of the Athena
management.
Send a copy of the log (or pertinent portions) to me (kevles) or
Beth Anderson (beth). Be sure that all pertinent facts
are included in the log portion: olc time, username of
complainant, all the information that the complainant gives.
Beth and I will forward these problems to Ron Orcutt, Athena's Executive
Director, who will deal with them in an appropriate fashion.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.
