(VS3100) Version 7.3P: detach -host doesn't work under AFS (and it could...)

System type, version: (VS3100) Version 7.3P
System name: tsx-11
What's wrong:
I've got "source" attached, and got this zephyrgram:
From ajax.MIT.EDU: (Authenticated)
*** FINAL System shutdown message ***
System going down IMMEDIATELY
To replace disk drive. Outage until noon
Please detach any filesystems you may have
attached from this host by typing detach -host ajax.MIT.EDU
detach -host ajax has no effect at all. (I didn't particularly expect
it to, but I figured I'd mention it after getting pounded with a
geometrically increasing number of messages about it :-)
What should have happened:
zinit does recognize AFS well enough for me to actually get the
notice; perhaps attach should do as well, namely, if the top level
directory of an afs attach-point is not replicated, then use the host
that it's on instead of "localhost" in attachtab.
This might be particularly important in light of the afs user
migration...
Documentation References:
zinit(8), to wit:
>> In addition, if
>> the root of an AFS filesystem is not replicated on multiple
>> servers, instance afs:servername is subscribed to.
(Probably not true, however, as I note that I'm subscribed simply to
Class filsrv Instance ajax.mit.edu. That's another bug :-)
