I can corroborate this bug. Emacs gets into a state where doing one
discuss command prints "Waiting for discuss...", but you can C-g.
Doing a second command causes emacs to start spinning. C-g is
useless, and redrawing doesn't work. But kill -INT <emacs> brings it
back to reality (virtuality?). When it gets in this state, it is 100%
reproducible. M-x discuss-restart fixes the problem so you can read
discuss again.
