System type, version: (RT/PC) Version 6.0C
System name: snorkelwacker
What's wrong:
I have a long list of filesystems that I attach at login time:
emacs gnu discuss -w zephyr X11 x11dev x++ -w priam:slush -w xpix
kerberos source eichin2 paris:urvd paris:u3 postscript priam:u1 -e
bat:/site -e bat:/u1 -x games StaffTools
I get the error:
Can't resolve host bat
Operation aborted
[1] Exit 1 attach `cat $HOME/.attach`
after it successfully attaches priam:u1.
ping bat does succeed, so the hostname is getting resolved.
Repeating the command causes everything to map, up to priam:u1, and then
priam:u1: Already attached...mapping
Can't resolve host bat
Operation aborted
Note that if I:
% attach -e bat:/site
bat:/site: NFS mounted CHIROPTERA.MIT.EDU:/site on /bat/site (read-write)
it succeeds...
What should have happened:
On the VAX, everything just gets attached, no problem.
