Hi,
There is a very minor bug with xterm. I do not know if it is fixed in
X11R2 and if so, please disregard this. The problem is as follows :
I start up an xterm window with the -rv option or with a reversevideo
clause in the .X11defaults file. The problem is that even though the
screen is reversed, the menu when you do Cntl-middle-mouse-button does
not show the tick sign on the "Reverse Video" line. Also I have two
aliases called `nv' and `rv' for normal and reverse video (by escape
sequences) and when I do an nv in a reverse-video screen, it still stays
white-on-black. But `rv' works to make it black-on-white. But for
windows created without the -rv option, these aliases works fine (e.g
for the login window).
What this means is that when reverse video is started in xterm with -rv
or with .X11defaults, the white on black becomes the `normal' one and
`reverse' in these windows are the black-on-white screens.
I hope I have made myself clear. If not, send me a message and I will
try to elaborate! Thanks.
