No one else has reported the problem you describe below. It sounds to
me like you may have been using the version of xterm in the x11r3,
which is incompatible with more recent X servers.

In any case, I need more details. You say "The window gets killed."
Does that mean after you select the scrollbar option on the menu, or
before? Does the menu actually come up, or does xterm crash before
the menu comes up? Do you get an error message when the xterm
crashes, and if so, what is it? Is this problem reliably
reproduceable for you?

What were you trying to do?
[Please replace this line with your information.]
Use the middle button and menu to put a scrollbar on my xterm

   What's wrong:
[Please replace this line with your information.]
The window gets killed whenever I try to put a scrollbar on it.

   What should have happened:
[Please replace this line with your information.]
   It should not have died.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

Well, I can't believe this happens under all conditions: someone would have
noticed that I'm sure. So, I'm using uwm, and running xconq in the
background. It's a completely normal (well, reverse video) xterm, so I
have no clue why it doesn't work.
