What were you trying to do?
Use zmailnotify with my AFS home directory, and keep the messages
I'm getting private.
What's wrong:
zmailnotify creates a file called ~/.maillock with the sender &
subject lines of the last message received. It does set the file's
mode to 600, but that means diddly under AFS; if you don't want to
have a fascist home directory, you're out of luck.
What should have happened:
There should be a way to keep your mail private; perhaps a flag to
zmailnotify to tell it not to create the lock file, and people who
run it multiple times will have to put up with repeat messages.
